30 Day Song Challenge

In a very musical mood the past couple of day so I decided to jump on this ’30 day song challenge’ bang wagon.

The rules are simple: Every day for 30 days, you post the song corresponding to the prompt.

Day 01 – Your favourite song – 2/3/2011

This is a difficult one – I have so many song that I adore to me. However I think I will go with  a song  I have already mentioned today. A song that fits any occasion. This song was played at my last day at high school however I feel in love with it much sooner than that. I can remember the  time I fell in love with it. I was sat on my friends stairs at a house party and I was slightly intoxicated and it wasn’t alcohol 😮 , there  was just me a some lad sat there he played it acoustically. He had the most beautiful voice and I have loved the song ever since.

Day 02 – Your least favorite song – 3/3/2011

Well I can’t do a song I hate it is more of a genre I dislike that one particular song. That Genre is dance and hardcore. Maybe because I was never a raver but I really don’t like it. I think it is the electronic part I don’t like. I really enjoy listening to instruments and someone singing.
Day 03 – A song that makes you happy

My lord did I need this morning. I am having to go with another Green Day song. I can’t not play this song without it being full blast. The title rounds me up completely. So turn it on, turn in up and try your hardest not to enjoy.

Day 04 – A song that makes you sad

I could go for the obvious with this topic one, which would be Aerosmith ‘Don’t wanna miss a thing’. However I think I am going to go with the song I first heard when i found out my Nan had died. It still to this day makes me cry.

I know there are all different versions of this song, however this is way I heard it!

I love you Nan

Rest in Peace

Day 05 – A song that reminds you of someone

Without doubt this song reminds me of my best friend and being in college just dancing the night away. We still to this day ring each other what ever time day or night we will ring eachother and scream it down the phone. Love it!

Day 06 – A song that reminds of you of somewhere

Lourdes Easter 2000 – it was such an amazing holiday on so many different levels. 1) seeing on mass all these people who had come in order to be cured, you really do become engrossed in the whole idea and you start to believe and want yourself at that these strangers can just get up from their chairs and walk. 2) We walked up the 14 stations of the cross which may I add is up a whopping great big hill. Helping a disabled boy up the route. He was all there in the mind and spent the entire time having me in stitches with all the hand puppets he kept producing, he just had no mobility from his waist downward, this didn’t stop his spirit. He was one of the most humbling days of my life. Did make me realise how lucky I am. 3) It was first holiday away from parents, yes it was with school however the rules where more lapse. I remember walking up on Easter Sunday after being a part of the most moving candle lit parade I will ever witness and all of a sudden 52 of us where in a circle around a busker singing Don Mclean’s American Pie at the top of our voices. Such an amazing memory!

Day 07 – A song that reminds you of a certain event

My first full festival day – Old Trafford – No Doubt and Green Day were out of this world however I can remember just moshing out something cronic to Less than Jake.
