PC cock up

So in listening to the radio this evening a story about a nursing home in Preston was aired.

They were stating that all religious artefacts and decorations were no longer permitted in communal areas due to wanting to increase diversity within the home.

Fair enough I thought everyone else is having to go PC, it was only a matter of time before the “old skool” had to get on board with it, whether they liked it not.

Then at the end of the piece the newsreader read out the name of the nursing home, St Paul’s.

My lord the world has gone completely bonkers, how can you create religious diversity in a place named after a Christian Saint????

There is a time and a place for political correctness to happen and a time and place for things to stay just as they are.

These old people will have had to make one of the hardest decisions of their lives by giving up their homes to move or be moved into this nursing home. Now to take away their faith? It’s just plain wrong.

Last time I checked The UK was a Christian country and yet nowadays we are made to feel like our faith and belief lie inferior to others.

However I don’t think the nursing homes reasons has anything to do with diversity I think it’s all to do with money, and I think these wealth robbing bastards such sod off and leave these old dears to live out their days in peace.

  1. I think in this instance, when we are talking about elderly patients, it is really important to give them whatever degree of comfort can be given. This means more than just physical comforts. It is really sad to think of elderly patients being upset by this.
